Trying to decide what else could possibly go wrong. . . .hopefully nothing!!

So after the last post (the one about the computer dying) it wasn't too long before Parker came upstairs complaining that he had no hot water for his shower. I didn't really think too much about it because I just figured one of the other kids had showered ahead of him and used all the hot water, that is until it was my turn an hour or so later and I had no hot water. That got my attention real quick. Lucky for me Kerry was home. I asked him to go and check on it. I just figured that the pilot light was out or something. Well it was not the pilot light, but it was something. There was water coming out the top of the water heater. I called a guy in our ward who is a plumber and he came over. He told me the water heater was dead. The good thing is that it cost us less to have him come, look, and instal a new one than it would have cost me to go to Sears and get a new one.

We have also been experiencing some unease with our cars. The youngest one we own is 11 years old and most of them are 20. We have been tossing around the idea of purchasing a new one for a long time. We have been putting more and more into them for repairs and that does not help the matter. The other night after going to the temple we decided that we just felt uneasy about the ones we owned and decided to start the process of purchasing one. We spent Presidents day looking and we bought a 2009 Hyundai Accent 4 door. The funny thing is that when we were at one of the car places and we were done and ready to leave, the Escort died. We could not get it started. So first we laughed and then we called Kerry's mom and she came and rescued us. We borrowed his dads car for the rest of the day. When we were done, we went and tried push starting it. That worked. Kerry said the key starter has gone out. We talked to a locksmith and he can fix it for under $100. So that is nice and it should last for a while longer. It would be nice to have it run so the kid have a beater to drive (once they are licensed anyway). Then yesterday you will never guess what went on the fritz. . . . .the TV!! We have priced them, but are not entirely sure we will replace it. At this point we are not sure what the Lord is trying to teach us, but sooner (hopefully because we have run out of funds) or later we will be done with this trying time in our lives.
