The Farmer and The Cowman Should Be Friends. . . . . .But What About Judd?

Yesterday We (Kerry, me, Megan, Holly, Grama & Grampa Robertson, Lennie, Meirah) got to go and watch the Jr. High production of Oklahoma. It was enjoyable, but it was definitely acting on a Jr. High level. Taylor had the part of Judd. He really played a great bad guy! Hate to say it but, he was better than the guy they cast as Curly. I guess you just never know how the casting will turn out (especially at a Jr. High level). Now that being said, Taylor took his part and ran with it! Or maybe I should say "fell" with it. During the fight scene he got "cold cocked" by Curly and, Taylor being Taylor was so into the part that he was not paying attention, got carried away and instead of falling down, fell off the stage onto the steps. That was the closest I saw him to breaking character. He almost laughed. Parker was in the play too. He was one of the farmers. He did a terrific job! He was really pleased with himself, especially because he got to dance with the girls! He was all smiles when he was done with the play. It should also be noted here that I almost didn't get a picture of him because he had to wear "makeup" (stage makeup). Eventually he decided that it was ok and that it was actually kinda funny. They both have 2 more performances, both of which are on the same day. One is for the school assembly and one more time at night for parents, friends etc. Now, "GO BREAK A LEG!!"
